The bowl top interlocks onto the base to hold it securely together so you and your birds will enjoy it for many many years to come. The inside of the bird bath has been glazed for sealing the ceramic to hold the water in the bowl. It is also advisable to keep the water fresh to attract birds and to prevent algae buildup. Position your birdbath near trees and bushes so birds can perch and groom themselves in between watering and bathing. In colder climates, it is advisable to remove the bath to prevent cracking or add a de-icer for winter. Size is 16.75″ in diameter x 21.5″ tall. This item ships in 7-10 days.
